A very subtle touch of wood combines with extremely ripe aromas of mocha, blue berry liqueur and cassis while preceding the rich and relatively full-bodied flavors yet this essentially remains a wine of finesse as the lacy and mineral-driven finish is finely detailed. In sum, this is a wine that delivers a certain volume yet is really quite fine.

Good dark red. Aromas of dark raspberry, coffee and exotic spices. Bright and sweet, with captivating, penetrating flavors of red fruits, stone and spicy oak enlivened by an almost peppery minerality. Very fresh and very Chambolle, and long on the aftertaste. These old vines clearly benefited from their hillside position in 2009. Incidentally, Perrot-Minot noted that even in 2009, he eliminated "10% to 15% of his grapes that were not perfectly ripe."
