Intense blackberries and iodine with tile and spice. Energetic aromas. Full body. Lead pencil. Stone and black fruit. Tar and licorice. Crushed cement. Chewy, yet pretty. Drink after 2023 and onwards.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is gorgeous. Pliant and supple in feel, with lovely freshness, the Crane shows just how alluring 2017 can be in the right hands. Super-ripe, inky red/purplish fruit, lavender, spice and rose petal are all front and center in this wonderfully expressive Cabernet. Even with all of its richness, the 2017 shows off its terrific sense of energy, too. Best of all, the 2017 will drink well with minimal cellaring
